I just learned the other day that he pilot for House was made in Toronto. The writers strike is soon to halt the production of many more TV programs. There are only scripts left for about three weeks so we are hoping that the writers strike ends quickly. I don't know what I'd do without my House fix. Hugh Laurie is so good in this American medical drama, it would be a shame to see this strike go on for months and months. I'm afraid he just might go to England and never come back.
House by Hugh Lauries is not all Hugh Laurie has done in entertainment. In England he has long been known as the partner to Stephen Fry in Jeeves and Wooster. Hugh Laurie's filmography includes the movies; The Flight of the Phoenix, Maybe Baby and The Girl from Rio, one of my favorites. He can also be seen in the films sense and sensibility.
I hope Hugh's next project will be a movie with him playing the lead.
Hugh Laurie's Biography
Hugh was born in Oxford England on June 11, 1959. He has three sisters and two brothers. Hugh Laurie is 6'2 1/2" tall.
Son of an Olympic gold medalist in the sport, he rowed for the England youth team (1977) and for Cambridge (1980).
He is married to Jo and has three children. He currently lives in Los Angeles while his family lives in London. Hugh makes regular trips to England to "mow the lawn" as he tells it.
Hugh has a hard time with his acting, always thinking he is not good enough and someday he'll be fired. I wish someone would convince him that he really is that good and now is the time to make the most of it. From Hugh Laurie's bio, it seems as if he is taking advantage of that.
